Raise the charge V/cell if the process includes equalisation or desulphation: it sets the maximum voltage the charger must reach.

How it selects: the charger must reach the end-of-charge voltage (charge V/cell × number of cells) while delivering the requested current across the whole of that voltage band; the discharger must withstand the fully charged battery voltage and hold the requested current down to the cut-off voltage, which is the worst-case point. Currents are taken from the manufacturers' tables per voltage band and, in the power-limited families (MMF, XMV.M, XMV.H and BLU-D), they are further limited by I = kW / V.
